Fabtastic! My friend and I are trying every coffee shop in Tucson and trying to find our place. This is a serious contender. Such an incredible building with welcoming spaces and super reasonable prices. She said it used to be a hangout when she was younger and it's kept a lot of it's charm. Great staff, great views and exactly the right noise level, even when it was so busy parking was a problem. Come on the weekend when the emergency vet next door is closed.

This has quickly become my favorite coffee place in Tucson. Great atmosphere for students/writers, professional drinks with refills, and super friendly baristas. Parking’s not too bad either. I’m really going to miss it once I move up north, it won’t be so easy to swing by anymore :(

I so adore this cafe and it's pirate ship vibes — although the seating is pretty awkward. Everytime I stop by I noticed people struggling to find a seat and many individuals sitting alone in the big booths. Not sure if this is intentional but I think rearranging the tables would be more accommodating. Good stuff nonetheless!

I got a great drink here and was able to get good work done in the shop! They have a nice variety of drinks and a great seasonal menu. The sitting area is super cute with an upstairs and downstairs. A great place overall. Only con is that they only have 1 bathroom...So you know how that can get.

Such a fun cafe with so much character! This is my first time coming so I got a Chai Frap and it was so freaking good! My friend got their Breast Milk and that was super yummy as well. Overall great place for studying or just enjoying some coffee on a quiet afternoon.

This is a local gem with an adorable lounge area on the second floor! The coffee is really good too, and they support local artists by letting them display art and do transactions on their own. I also liked that there's a community board and designated areas for people to congregate, because it's a sign they are investing in the community

You won't find any other place like this in Tucson! Not only is the coffee good, but this is a place that is outside of home, work and shopping. This is what's called a third place, aka a place for people to simply meet & hang out (if you buy a coffee of course!) This place is a safe haven for studying college students, young professionals and freethinkers alike. Think of coffee shops from the Netherlands, France, and other parts of Europe. This place is directly reminiscent of those places. We need more places like black crown. America doesn't have enough places that are built simply as meeting/hangout spot, and that's why I really appreciate this place. I should also mention it is very cozy here! The atmosphere doesn't feel like a business, it feels very homemade, very relaxed, like you're hanging out in your friends backyard. Last thing I should mention is there is $1 refills on any size drip coffee, so you can drink to your heart's content! Seriously, if you're a young student or professional who appreciates community-oriented spaces, then you have to check this place out.
